Gunter Balzer was born in Berlin. After school he worked at the Berlin «Amerika-Haus» as a graphic designer. Later he worked at the Cultural Department of Berlin -Tiergarten. After gaining a prize, in 1957, for the competition of the Central Church of Gedaechnisskirche Prof. Egon Eirmann urged him to study.From 1958 until 1965 he studied at the HdK University of Architecture and Art at Berlin under the supervision of Prof. Eduard Ludwig. While being at the university he was working for Prof. Peter Poelzig and Werner Wehner. When he completed his studies he worked for T.A.C., Prof. Walter Gropius for the buildings of the Gropius-Stadt Berlin. In 1966 he got married to the Greek Architect Maria Pispirikou and started working as a freelancer in Greece. He is member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) and the Technical Chamber of Germany. Until now he has designed and constructed a numerous ammount of buildings and projects.

Dimitris Balzer was born in Thessaloniki. He graduated from the German School of Thessaloniki. From 1988 until 1994 he studied Architecture at the Technischen Universität in Berlin. The last two years of his studies he specialised at health care buildings, at the Institute of Hospital Buildings of Krankenhausbau der TU Berlin, supervised under Prof. Robert Wischer and Prof. R. Labryga. In 1994 he graduated and obtained his degree as Diplom-Ingeneur Architekt. After university he worked as a freelancer with Klaus Mayer-Hartmann at Berlin. Later he worked as a freelancer with Hafezi-Valefeld who are specialised in Helath Care architecture. In 1995 he returned to Greece to join his father‘s office. He is member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE).

Domna Tsompanidou was born in Thessaloniki. She graduated from Anatolia American College of Thessaloniki. From 2000 until 2007 she studied at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, School of Technology, Department of Architecture. In 2010 she obtained her Master Degree of Lighting Design from La Sapienza Universita di Roma specialised in Architectural Lighting and lighting for low consumption buildings with a full scholarship of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy. While being at the University in 2005 she joined the Balzer Architects Office. Since 2008 she is member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE).
Interior Designer-3D Visualizer, IVT Thermi
Eleni Pavlidou was born in Thessaloniki. From 1996 until 2002 she studied at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Department of French Language and Literature. After her graduation, her interest for interior design has lead her to attend numerous seminars in the field of Interior Design and 3d architectural visualization and her degree in Interior Architecture, Decorative Arts and Design from IVT Thermi. Since 2017 she studies architecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 2005 she joined the team of Balzer Architects with whom she has been collaborating since then.
